You Know Who... Courts Sonic Disaster

Jamie Muir
1942-2025
How did it sound out there? Personally, I felt like there were tons of audio issues, which is a shame because there were plenty of good tunes today. We started off by paying tribute to percussionist Jamie Muir (November 30, 1942 – February 17, 2025), known for his work with King Crimson and The Music Improvisation Company, as well as drummer Rick Buckler of The Jam (December 6, 1955 – February 17, 2025). Evidently, Monday was a bad day for players of the skins.
We did a side-by-side comparison of Oasis’ “Whatever” and Neil Innes’ “How Sweet to Be an Idiot” to try to get an idea where inspiration ends and plagiarism begins, and then played some really bad Star Trek related stuff.
In celebration of Walter Becker’s birthday, there was some ultra-rare Steely Dan stuff towards the end.
Overall, worth a listen.
