You Know Who... Feels Like He's Been Stabbed in the Back

I’ve had a lot dropped on me in the last few days. At least there has been some good music to distract me. Seeing Beledo and Percy Jones last night was a proper antidote. I threw some Percy on at the end (with his band, MJ12), and will try to find some Beledo recordings that convey how brilliant he is in a live setting. No coherent theme to today’s show, but good tunes, and that’s all the antidote you need.

It feels a little inappropriate that I should be starting this site. After all, LIC Radio was Walker’s baby. He brought together a community both of listeners and broadcasters that has been a source of light-hearted diversion in good times, and a source of comfort and connection in dark times. Yeah, I know I might be making it sound too significant for a platform that used to host a segment called “Fart of the Week,” but sometimes you need to get your head into the gutter in order to gaze at the stars. You Know Who... Provides Some Sunshine on a Rainy Day

  I would say it was a good show today. The top of it paid tribute to multi-instrumentalist / songwriter / producer Andy Paley who died yesterday (11/20/24) at the age of 72. Plenty of stuff from this day from the folkier stuff to the darkly satirical.
