You Know Who... Survived the Ides

It was National Panda Day today. I didn’t know what to do with that information.

I didn’t know until this week that the guy who wrote the theme to the Mary Tyler Moore Show was an old bandmate of Buddy Holly.

Pretty eclectic show today with some varied new record acquisitions. Tracks of the day ranged from Sinéad O'Connor to the Meat Puppets. The highlight was probably the all-star jam during Steve Winwood’s “Gimme Some Lovin’.”

Fred Neil was born ninety years ago today. We played a couple of tunes for him.

Lastly, I finally got to play that Soft Machine that got cut off three weeks ago. The last two weeks I just didn’t leave myself enough time at the end. Killer guitar work from Allan Holdsworth.
